TGS’ beginning was a lot like many small businesses, with one person and a vision. Its founder, Timothy G. Schneider started TGS May 1, 1985 in the back room of his father-in-law’s fruit packing shed. After only six months, Tim incorporated. Within the next year Tim bought the property across the street (1987), where TGS is today.

 

In 1993 after graduating from business school, Tim’s son Peter joined TGS full-time. Later that year, Tim sat Peter down and asked what his vision of the business was and, what he wanted. Peter’s response helped evolve his father’s initial vision into
what TGS is today.

"The Service You’ve Come to Depend On", was Peter’s answer to his father. TGS strives avidly to carry this elevated experience, partnership and service to its customers, industry partners and employees. Peter’s slogan is the embodiment of the culture of everything TGS has done since it’s inception, and in to the future.

Together, Tim and Peter have grown TGS into a nationally well-known and highly respected drayage company in California and Nevada. TGS offers an array of drayage services to meet customer’s demands.

• Domestic Intermodal drayage from the Lathrop, Stockton, Oakland & Reno ramps

• We handle dry, reefer, hazmat and in-bond shipments

• We run LCL moves to/from the central valley to near dock locations in LA, Long Beach and Oakland ports.
